Train : but it's true... if you want to go to hua-hin with free accommodation and doesn't hurry for anything then you better take train with 3rd class cause now it's free for 6 months!!!!
and you will travel around 5-6 hours (might less or more) and direct to hua-hin station...
along to hua-hin you will see view all the way to hua-hin, if you like to take picture this might be one of the best view to take.
But the boring thing is it's take to long time to get to the destination, and stop every stations it pass, but it's will be one of your exprerian.
----------------------------------------------------------
Mini Van : And if you have to time like that much you might take a mini van from Bangkok to Hua-Hin, it's will take around 2-3 hours direct to hua-hin with one or non stop to any where. And It's 200 baht for person
Where to take : Century Department store near by Victory Monument, It's under Victory Monument BTS station, and there will be a littel sign said 'Hua-Hin, Cha-am, Petchaburi' with a few seller sitting there. Just tell them 'Hua-Hin ....person/people' they will give you a ticket and pay them for 200 baht per ticket...they will tell you (sometime they will lead you ther) with van you have to get in.
after 2-3 hours the van will be in hua-hin and it's stop close to Chatchai market (hua-hin market) Then you can catch Tuk Tuk, Taxi, or if you are alone then catch a motorcycle around there to the hotel (i recommend Tuk Tuk and this is who i trust is Ton:0858491852 tell him you are from zea (me)).
--------------------------------------------------------
Bus : this choice would be okay for someone who doesn't hurry and also don't want to rest your time too long with train then take Bus, but you have to get th bus at 'Saitai Station'
There are 2 kind of buses you can take :
1. 'Por nung' or first class (not VIP.) : It's around 180 baht/person, it'e directly to hua-hin with nonstop to anywhere even gas station for toilet because it's already toilet in the bus. Take around 3-4 hours (less or more) and stop in their own bus station, it's in hua-hin town not to far from hua-hin market.
2. 'Por song' or second class : It's around 160-180 baht (am not sure). it's stop every 'bus stop' or every time when people call them along to hua-hin (not recomment). Quite noice and they get too much people in one bus (some people have to stand if there are no seat) and it's stop different bus station with first class but it's still in hua-hin not far from hua-hin market just different side with the first class station.
------------------------------------------------
Last one will be more comfortable for family like 2-3 people is personal taxi. It is a car that will pick you up from airport to hua-hin (if you don't want to stop one night in bangkok). They will stop only if you ask for, and it it faster than every transportation that i told before (also up to you want it to be) and absolutely it is more expensive than other (the most one i know is around 2500 baht for a car with 2-3 people, and around 3500 baht for a mini van up from 4 to 10 people or a bit more) and they will take you directly to the hotel that you booked.
------------------------------------------------
Just take the best choice for you to go to hua-hin, if you need taxi to pick up you from airport to hua-hin hotel feel free to ask me because i know someone who can trust cause my mom alway use the service from them, and if you come to hua-hin tell me i will give you for information that you want and if i know as much as i can ^^
