Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa has created an exclusive program specially designed to delight all guests with our “Vineyard Tour and Thai Set Dinner” package. The weekly event consists of taking guests to view Hua Hin Hill vineyard and then dine at the hotel’s finest Thai restaurant, Sala Thai. Hua Hin Hills vineyard belongs to Siam Winery and is considered to be the most beautiful vineyard in Thailand. Experience the newly opened Winery by joining the Marriott / Hua Hin Hills Vineyard tour available every Tuesday. This is where you can relax and enjoy a 400 acre breath taking landscape while tasting the various wines on offer. Participants can choose to spend a leisurely afternoon tasting wine and chit chat with winemakers and/or can schedule a more informative winery tour where they can learn in detail the process that creates such exceptional Thai wine. Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is built on a former elephant corral - a sublime place where wild Asian elephants were domesticated. The terrain, comprising mostly of loamy-sand and slate, is conducive to the cultivation of grapes providing the seaside resort town of Hua Hin its first boutique vineyard. Our “winery package” is available every Tuesday from 2 p.m. onwards and is inclusive of transportation, wine tasting, vineyard tour and an authentic Thai set menu with matching wine for dinner at Salad Thai restaurant upon returning to the hotel. Tour prices start from 1,999++ per person.

Western View on Hua Hin
With the hustle and bustle of the Bangkok metropolis, the hedonistic lifestyle of Phuket or the relaxing spiritualist retreats in Ko Pha-Ngan, Thailand certainly has something to offer people from all walks of life. However, in this traveller’s opinion, Hua Hin is without question the Jewel in the crown of this beautiful & culturally rich Kingdom. Having started it’s life as a sleepy little fishing town, to then be chosen by King Rama VII in the early Twentieth Century, to have his palace retreat built there, it has become one of the countries most popular vacation spots, whilst continuing to develop it’s humble origins along side the arrival of large internationally renowned hotel chains and the ongoing slow transformation to that of a modern, cosmopolitan city.
Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok’s main airport, a few options are available to continue your journey, hop aboard a flight to Hua Hin’s little domestic airport, which will take about 45 minutes, hire a car and plunge yourself head first into the adventure that is driving in Thailand or opt for a more relaxing taxi ride to reach your final destination, both of which should take you roughly 3 hours. If you are as lucky as I am, you will have some very close friends and loved one’s to be able to collect you from the airport and take you on the rest of your journey, but having already spent 12 hours on a flight from the chaos of London’s Heathrow, the latter of the three will always be the prevailing choice for me. As long as it is a good size taxi with working air conditioning, you will find it comfortable way to introduce yourself to the Thai traffic system. This will also give a great opportunity to take in the scenery as you pass from town to town along the long and winding highways and byways on your way to picturesque Hua Hin.
As you head south into the city along Phetkasem Road, a sense of space and relaxation begins to fill you. The city stretches along kilometres of unspoilt sandy beach from the far north near the airport to the south and Khao Takiab Hill. The many large condominium structures dotting the landscape are spread far enough apart not to clutter the natural beauty of the coastline. Mountains loom imposingly along the skyline to the west, but give a safe, sheltered feeling as you head further in to the main area of the city. Many of the larger hotels are located in the southern area of the town, with The Hilton and the Sofitel Centara Grand being situated beach front along Naresdamri Road, right in the heart of the main tourist area. There are many other smaller hotels as well as guest houses and private accommodation available to rent across the length of the city, with varying levels of quality and comfort to suit all budgets.
Staying at the Sofitel Centara Grand was nothing short of pure tranquillity. On arrival you proceed down a beautifully well maintained drive way, with lush foliage and palm trees along either side, to what could only be described as one of the most historic and magnificent buildings in the city. Originally the Old Station Hotel, built in the early part of the 20th Century, this marvel of colonial style Architecture is truly breathtaking, with surrounding landscaped gardens to match. 5 stars, 154 rooms and some of the best facilities in a hotel available anywhere in the world, from fully air conditioned rooms, a baby sitting service, 4 restaurants & bars, to sports facilities that would give a small British leisure centre feelings of inadequacy. With such a huge selection of activities within the confines of the hotel you will be tempted to never venture any further afield, but don’t let the opportunity to explore the surrounding city slip you by.
Pungent aromas begin to fill the air from very early on, not all of which can be associated with the delicious food that you find here, but as the many local restaurants begin to prepare themselves for the daily trade, hints of chilli and ginger and many other wonderfully aromatic scents begin to waft around and you soon find yourself thinking about what tasty morsel will be on the menu for breakfast and with a great selection of cuisine from all over the world available, you will certainly be spoilt for choice. The streets around you begin to explode into life, street vendors pushing or riding their carts around, selling everything from Ice Cream to Chicken Satay to edible Ants (if you are feeling bold enough to try them) mopeds zip around, many of which may seem to be on the wrong side of the road, but is perfectly acceptable behaviour here, so you will need to be extra careful when crossing roads, and generally the traffic is quite heavy in the main town, with the majority of the shops spread across the length of Phetkasem Road and the highest concentration being around the main tourist area. Market Village is only a short Tuk Tuk ride away, and you will find a large European supermarket there as well as many fine fashion outlets and restaurant chains from around the world. Those with an appetite for something more adventurous can take a trip into the mountains to visit many of the breathtaking caves and local waterfalls, or go for a trek on an elephant to see the awe inspiring view from a different perspective. But for those after a more leisurely day, simply relax somewhere along the 5 miles of beach or pick up your clubs and head for the links.
Golf is one of the most popular pastimes in the area and it’s not hard to see why, as there are no fewer than 7 world class courses to play on here, and the green fees are among the most reasonable anywhere in the world. Lush rolling fairways surrounded by the natural beauty of Thailand’s local flora and forna and expertly maintained greens all provide for an enjoyable round whether you are a professional or an amateur, you can’t help but feel relaxed as you play.As the sun begins to fade over Hua Hin, the local bars, which were previously rather quiet and sleepy, begin to fill with girls trying to entice visiting gentlemen in to drink with them and party and the whole town seems to shift up a gear. The maze of little back streets filled with massage parlours and bars become frantic with life, and it can be great fun walking around and taking in the atmosphere.
Adventure and excitement, all combined with the relaxation, tranquility and beauty of Thailand makes Hua Hin such an appealing city, that once you settle into the lifestyle here you will never want to leave.

Take train to hua-hin..it's FREE!!
Yeah...as title ... how can it will be free right?
Train : but it's true... if you want to go to hua-hin with free accommodation and doesn't hurry for anything then you better take train with 3rd class cause now it's free for 6 months!!!!
and you will travel around 5-6 hours (might less or more) and direct to hua-hin station...
along to hua-hin you will see view all the way to hua-hin, if you like to take picture this might be one of the best view to take.
But the boring thing is it's take to long time to get to the destination, and stop every stations it pass, but it's will be one of your exprerian.
Mini Van : And if you have to time like that much you might take a mini van from Bangkok to Hua-Hin, it's will take around 2-3 hours direct to hua-hin with one or non stop to any where. And It's 200 baht for person
Where to take : Century Department store near by Victory Monument, It's under Victory Monument BTS station, and there will be a littel sign said 'Hua-Hin, Cha-am, Petchaburi' with a few seller sitting there. Just tell them 'Hua-Hin ....person/people' they will give you a ticket and pay them for 200 baht per ticket...they will tell you (sometime they will lead you ther) with van you have to get in.
after 2-3 hours the van will be in hua-hin and it's stop close to Chatchai market (hua-hin market) Then you can catch Tuk Tuk, Taxi, or if you are alone then catch a motorcycle around there to the hotel (i recommend Tuk Tuk and this is who i trust is Ton:0858491852 tell him you are from zea (me)).

--------------------------------------------------------
Bus : this choice would be okay for someone who doesn't hurry and also don't want to rest your time too long with train then take Bus, but you have to get th bus at 'Saitai Station'
There are 2 kind of buses you can take :
1. 'Por nung' or first class (not VIP.) : It's around 180 baht/person, it'e directly to hua-hin with nonstop to anywhere even gas station for toilet because it's already toilet in the bus. Take around 3-4 hours (less or more) and stop in their own bus station, it's in hua-hin town not to far from hua-hin market.
2. 'Por song' or second class : It's around 160-180 baht (am not sure). it's stop every 'bus stop' or every time when people call them along to hua-hin (not recomment). Quite noice and they get too much people in one bus (some people have to stand if there are no seat) and it's stop different bus station with first class but it's still in hua-hin not far from hua-hin market just different side with the first class station.
------------------------------------------------
Last one will be more comfortable for family like 2-3 people is personal taxi. It is a car that will pick you up from airport to hua-hin (if you don't want to stop one night in bangkok). They will stop only if you ask for, and it it faster than every transportation that i told before (also up to you want it to be) and absolutely it is more expensive than other (the most one i know is around 2500 baht for a car with 2-3 people, and around 3500 baht for a mini van up from 4 to 10 people or a bit more) and they will take you directly to the hotel that you booked.
------------------------------------------------
Just take the best choice for you to go to hua-hin, if you need taxi to pick up you from airport to hua-hin hotel feel free to ask me because i know someone who can trust cause my mom alway use the service from them, and if you come to hua-hin tell me i will give you for information that you want and if i know as much as i can ^^
Did you remember your helmet?
Hua Hin is as many other cities in Thailand packed with motorbikes. The vast majority drivers are of course Thais, but more and more foreigners, either living here or holidaymakers, are taking the two-stroke steel horses to heart. Surprisingly most people prefer to drive without a helmet even though everyone is aware of the sudden death should you hit the ground at even slow speeds.
The police enforce the law stating that everyone driving a motorbike needs to wear a helmet. They have checkpoints around town, and sometimes they even change their routines and stop you where you would least expect it.
But, most of the times, they are using the same checkpoints and the locals have learned to navigate around these checkpoints. If you get caught at one of these checkpoints you will be fined 200 baht to be paid at the Hua Hin Police Station. The police officer will keep your ID/Drivers License until you return with a receipt of payment.
To us as foreigners 200 baht is not the world, and we usually pay it with a smile. The only annoying thing is the hassle of the trip to the police station and also the possible queue there.
Note, in Hua Hin the law requires that the driver of the motorbike wears a helmet, and the maximum people allowed on a motorbike are 2. In other cities, fx Pattaya, everyone on a motorbike is required to wear a helmet.
My question to you, dear reader; Are you wearing a helmet when driving a motorbike?
